This blog is started in June 2011.

It is the intent of the dronewatch society to have equal power and means to ensure that drones- a relatively popular artifice of recent warfare- never cross the military-civilian line.

This means in all forms: sociopolitical, foreign policy, diplomacy, and not the least- warfare itself.

The society and this blog seek  100% transparency in the construction, sales, distribution, and deployment of drones and the "business of drones". (This means You- MIC).

We will press the right to know actively- not passively- on accountable and verifiable data on the "business of drones".

Excerpt from President Dwight D. Eisenhowers farewell address 1961

"....The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."
